Workshop Held: “Dialogue in Schools: How to Talk About Divisive Topics”

Project Updates

As part of the professional development program for teachers organized by “GOOD Školica”, Documenta held a workshop on October 23, 2024, titled “Dialogue in Schools: How to Talk About Divisive Topics.”

We are pleased that more than 60 interested participants joined us online. The methodology presented was developed within the Erasmus+ project “Hard Topics,” in which Documenta collaborates with organizations from Slovenia, Hungary, and Austria.

The project focuses on fostering and developing skills that enable dialogue, offering teachers concrete methods and workshops on the subject.

During the workshop, participants tested a mobile app that, after completing a questionnaire, connects people with opposing views so they can engage in conversation and gain insight into each other’s arguments. The digital tool is available at https://hardtopics.eu/. An important addition to the app includes developed workshops that promote communication skills and educational cards with dialogue guidelines.

The workshop was led by Alice Straniero and Diana Todorova from Documenta.

The project is co-funded by the European Union.
